Dean filed a complaint with the Federal Aviation Administration after the sudden door explosion of the Boeing 737, alleging serious misconduct by Spirit as a senior quality manager on the Boeing 737 supply line.

Dean himself said in an interview that he had been fired by Spirit during the outage, and when he was re-hired by Spirit in May 2021, he found that Spirit had fired many of its most experienced mechanics and auditors.

The doctor found a large number of bacteria in his lungs, which were almost completely filled. Green also said that the night before Dean died, medical staff in Oklahoma examined his lungs by bronchoscopy. Green has asked for an autopsy to reveal the truth behind Dean's mysterious death, but that could take months.
